Both of us born and raised in Massachusetts, were married Sept 1983. Very active in the Massachusetts Quarter Horse Association. Barry was eight years on the board.  Myself, I did the newsletter for 250 members or more for 8 or more years. That was a full- part time job, besides caring for 12 horse's and a tack shop. At our Spring Quarter Horse Show May of 87 our good friends  Jackie & Steve Hughes, showed us a Jack Russell pup they had, we fell in love with Nev-a-Dun Sam . Sam had a pedigree from  Ailsa Crawford's kennel. Some of you will remember the Hamilton bloodlines, He had lots in his pedigree. This little dog won our hearts, so we bought another 4 months later. A female "Jackie" we purchased from England. Who sadly passed away here in VA 2 weeks after we moved here in May of "93".   Where we boarded our two horse's we took with us to Virginia, they had a female pup that need a home.  So we took Maggie home. Maggie didn't have the conformation we wanted, but she needed a home and we needed her after loosing Jackie. Maggie is still with us and as mischief as the day we took her home. See her on our veterans page.

In 1993 we decided to quit showing and breeding Quarter Horse's.  I was longing for that competition shortly after.  I've been showing horse's since I could run and walk, and to stop showing cold turkey! Oh my!!!  So, we decided to get involved in the J.R.T.C.A.  The best thing we did, it opened a new world for us.  And then realized half the people we met were into horse's one time or another. That's when we were hooked on the trial's, went to 9 that year and I think 12 the next year or there after. We decided to try some hunting as well, we went out with some close friends several times. Barry had our Nev-va-dun Sam dog trained to hunt with a friends Britney Spaniels. He would point and flush the birds, but he was never good about retrieving them back. We've made a lot of good friends with our terrier's over the years and we hope to continue to do so.

When Barry is not on his tractor, he is writing and playing music. He plays the guitar and mandolin, he also has written two albums of his own songs.  As for me, I have the dogs, play very little of my mandolin, which I need to do more of, and enjoy oil painting.

We welcome you to come say hello to us and meet out terriers at the trials, and or stop by when you are in our area, we would be happy to show them off to you. But for now visit them through out our website.

We do not breed all the time, we may have a adult or two for adoption at times.
