Sam's name came from the horse farm he was whelped on, NEV-A DUN Farm our good friends Jackie & Steve Hughes from East Taunton, MA sold us this puppy in 1987. Our first Jack Russell and then we were hooked. Barry trained Sam to hunt with our friend Steve with his Brittany Spaniel's. Sam would point for the bird with the other dogs, but then he would try to beat everyone to the bird. If he got the bird before us that was not good. Sam was hunting a musk rat in the cranberry bogs when we went to pick him up at the breeders. Trinket (his mom) had gone into a drain pipe to kill the musk rat shortly after we arrived that day. We took Sam home to our farm that night and 8 months later we purchased another Jack Russell , Jackie and so it began.................
